THE THIRD OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PREPARE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MERİÇ-ERGENE RIVER BASIN HELD

The 3rd Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of “Technical Assistance To Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan For Meriç-Ergene River Basin” Project, which is co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of II. Period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), was held on 29 August 2022.

The representatives of Directorate General of Water Management and Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change and the authorities of the contractor company attended the meeting chaired by Maruf ARAS, Deputy Director General of Water Management.

The administrative and technical issues were discussed at the 3rd Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of Technical Assistance to Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan For Meriç-Ergene River Basin. The progress of data collection in the context of Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment was evaluated, other issues and the works to be carried out in the following phases were discussed in detail.
