THE SIXTH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PREPARE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MERİÇ-ERGENE RIVER BASIN HELD

The 6th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of “Technical Assistance To Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan For Meriç-Ergene River Basin” Project, which is co-financed by the European Union (IPA-2) and Republic of Türkiye, was held on 25 November 2022 as a hybrid meeting.

The representatives of Directorate General of Water Management, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Delegation of European Union to Türkiye and the authorities of the contractor company attended the meeting chaired by Mr. Maruf Aras, Deputy Director General of Water Management.

The meeting started with the opening remarks of the Coordinator of Operation Coordination Unit Mr. Aras, from Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Water Management, the End Recipient of the project.

Project Team Leader Dr. M. Deniz İtibar informed the participants about the stage reached in the project so far and delivered a presentation about the project activities. Following the presentation, the participants discussed the progress made in the project and the methodology in the question/answer session, and the meeting was concluded.
