THE FIFTH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PREPARE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MERİÇ-ERGENE RIVER BASIN HELD

The 5th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of “Technical Assistance To Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan For Meriç-Ergene River Basin” Project, which is co-financed by the European Union (IPA-2) and Republic of Türkiye, was held on 31 October 2022 as a hybrid meeting.

The representatives of Directorate General of Water Management and Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change and the authorities of the contractor company attended the meeting chaired by Mr. Satuk Buğra Fındık, Head of Flood and Drought Management Department, Directorate General of Water Management.

The meeting started with the opening remarks of Mr. Satuk Buğra Fındık speaking on behalf of the End Recipient of the project, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Water Management (DGWM).

Further on, Project Team Leader Dr. M. Deniz İtibar mentioned the progress made in the project so far and made a presentation including the project activities. Following the presentation, the participants exchanged views during the question&answer session and the meeting was concluded after a closing speech.
