THE 12th OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PREPARE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MERİÇ-ERGENE RIVER BASIN HELD

The 12th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of the "Technical Assistance for the Preparation of the Meriç-Ergene Basin Flood Risk Management Plan" project, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye within the scope of Environment and Climate Change Sector Operational Programme (IPA-2), was held on July 28, 2023.
Representatives of the General Directorate of Water Management, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the contractor company officials attended the meeting chaired by Mr. Satuk Buğra Fındık, Head of Flood and Drought Management Department. The meeting started with the opening speech of Mr. Satuk Buğra FINDIK, who spoke on behalf of the End Recipient, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Water Management (SYGM).
Further on, Project Deputy Team Leader Egemen FIRAT mentioned the progress made in the project so far and made a presentation including the project activities. Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session was held to exchange ideas on the progress and outputs of the project and the meeting ended after the closing speech.
