5th Project Steering Committee Meeting Held in Ankara with the Stakeholders from the Basin Region

The 5th Project Steering Committee Meeting was held by the “Technical Assistance to Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan for Meriç-Ergene River Basin” project, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye within the scope of the Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme (IPA-2) on December 3, 2024. The meeting was held in Ankara with the participation of stakeholders from the basin region, attended by a total of 29 committee members.
During the Steering Committee Meeting chaired by Mr. Mustafa Dal, Head of Flood and Drought Management Department, a comprehensive technical presentation was delivered, addressing the project's purpose and ongoing activities. In the Q&A session held following the presentation, progress and outputs of the project were shared with the participants. The committee members were informed and exchanged views on the study visits abroad, mapping studies, modeling studies and flood measures to be developed.
