THE SEVENTH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PREPARE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MERİÇ-ERGENE RIVER BASIN HELD

The 7th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of “Technical Assistance To Prepare Flood Risk Management Plan For Meriç-Ergene River Basin” Project, which is co-financed by the European Union (IPA-2) and Republic of Türkiye, was held on 26 December 2022 as a hybrid meeting.
The representatives of Directorate General of Water Management and Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change and the authorities of the contractor company attended the meeting chaired by Mr. Satuk Buğra Fındık, Head of Flood and Drought Management Department, Directorate General of Water Management.
The meeting started with the opening remarks of Mr. Satuk Buğra Fındık speaking on behalf of the End Recipient of the project, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Water Management (DGWM). After the opening speech, a brief evaluation was made on the issues that came up in the previous meeting.
Further on, Project Team Leader Dr. M. Deniz İtibar mentioned the progress made in the project so far and made a presentation including the project activities. Following the presentation, a question and answer session was held to exchange ideas on the progress and outputs of the project and the meeting ended after the closing speech.
